SAL, "Spanish Artists in London", yet again put on a compelling and highly professional show. This time at "Viva España 2006", the biggest Spanish lifestyle and property event outside Spain.

The public was fascinated by the work of these 10 Spanish artists who work in different disciplines. Institutions, members of the art world and the press approached SAL to show interest in collaborating in future projects.

Amongst the visitors was David Medalla, director of the London Biennale, the Venezuelan artist Itamar, Juan Pedro Aparicio, director of "Instituto Cervantes in London" and his wife Isabel, Ana Garcia Segura of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in London and Cristina Fuentes of the Spanish Tourist Board. Severiano Ballesteros, who was there to open de event, showed interest in SAL’s work and wished the group success in the future.

During the weekend the group raffled a glass plate made by one of their members, Maria Zulueta, inspired by the group’s name "SAL", which means salt. The winner of the prize was Andreas Uhl.

SAL members wish to thank all of those who believe in the future of SAL and are helping the group to achieve their main goals: building a network of professional, artistic, cultural, commercial and institutional contacts, and raising an interest in Spanish culture in other collectives and cultural contexts.

GROUP MEMBERS: Carlos Cortés, Carlos Domínguez, Cristina Ruiz Guimaraes, Dolores Sanchez Calvo, Elena García de la Fuente, Ernesto Sarezale, Loli Cardeñoso, María P. Villaseñor, María Zulueta and Marisol Cavia.
